Washington, DC (April 1, 2014) - With much anticipation, New E.M.F. Recording Artist: TIA Askia will be performing at this years National Cherry Blossom Festival.

 

Today's National Cherry Blossom Festival has grown into the nation's most prestigious springtime celebration and has attracted more than 1.5 million people from all over the world.  Individuals from all walks of life visit the Washington, DC area  to bear witness to the beautiful Cherry Blossoms and to enjoy the diverse entertainment in the Nation's Capital.

 

In January of 2014, New E.M.F. Recording Artist: TIA performed at the world's most largest and longest running Open Mics in the world: The Village Underground in New York. Serenading one of her covers "Summertime" she gave the audience a gripping performance and was awarded a standing ovation.   Young TIA was offered the platform a second time by world renowned RON GRANT and gave round two of a captivating presentation of the SPIRITUAL CLASSIC "Be Grateful". Receiving another standing ovation from Ron Grant and a packed house of new supporters, solidified the dream that is now tuning into a reality.

 

With a music drop in heavy rotation on DMV’s #1 radio station for Hip Hop & R&B: WKYS 93.9; TIA is currently working on her album with Grammy Nominated Producer D-Moet and the chemistry is nothing short of a miracle. They have chosen an organic route to recording, with a sound that is sure to be a pleasant surprise that the listeners will thoroughly enjoy. Writer for Sheen Magazine has described TIA’s voice as: “a voice beyond her years and it brings PURE LIFE”. Y’anna Crawley, winner of Sunday’s Best; “Who is this girl, she is amazing, I have to meet her”.
